OSEA is providing Resident Safety Professional® services for the construction of a 400-room hotel, indoor water park and convention center in Concord NC.  The project requires coordinating over 20 contractors and 400 employees for the general contractor

OSEA safety professionals work with Otis Eastern to achieve the safe, accident-free, and healthy work environment outlined in its corporate policy. Site-specific safety plans are developed, job hazard analysis and site audits are completed, and employee training is performed.  Pipeline projects require sediment fencing, clearing and grubbing and installation of gas line with associated back fill and replacement of topsoil, seed and mulch.  Culverts are established and appropriate erosion control measures utilized. Some projects also run through areas of wetlands with controls exercised pursuant to environmental planning requirements established as part of the project plan.  Site entrances are marked with appropriate fencing and project signage as required.  Project roads can also run parallel to existing utility lines with appropriate safety protocols established and exercised.

OSEA has been retained by Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. top provide safety & health guidance for the engineering staff implementing plant modernization in  Fayetteville, NC and a complicated upgrade project in Union City, TN.  Both projects have presented construction and maintenance hazards and unique safety & health issues for Goodyear and its contractors.

Multiple shift, heavy civil project on Connecticut River; caissons 200' depth for rebuild of turbine intakes.

Worked with contractor (Gerace Construction) to build a site safety organization, maintain high project requirements of owner (TransCanada) and effect training solutions given high hazard nature of work. No serious traumatic injuries, lost time cases below national average.
