I have asked other safety professionals if there is an OSHA ruling on forklift belts and have not received an answer. Most of our forklifts do not have belts, is it mandatory to put them on? We have a forklift training program and want to keep our employee's safe, but worried that this would mean modifying or adding the seat belts to the forklift would not be in compliance with the standard.
