Employee Spotlight - Todd Schara

OSEA is proud to welcome its newest employee, Todd Schara. Todd is responsible for providing health and safety technical consultation and evaluation to new and existing clients, through evaluation of client hazards and controls. He provides recommendations and implements safety programs to assist in reducing clients’ insurance costs.

Prior to joining OSEA worked at Lawley as a Loss Control Consultant before which, Todd worked as a project manager at GZA GeoEnvironmental of New York and has over 15 years’ experience specializing in construction safety.

Todd has extensive experience as a site safety and health officer for numerous clients both in the public and private sector. He also conducted environmental inspections, mock OSHA inspections/audits for both large and small scale projects and taught OSHA courses in HAZWOPER and Radiation safety.

Todd holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from Buffalo State College. Todd’s professional development includes courses in NYSDEC, OSHA, NYSDOT, Radiation Safety and Health and Safety.

He is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). He is very active in the community and has been active as a volunteer with the following organizations: Niagara Chapter for the American Society of Safety Engineers, West Seneca Youth Hockey Referees Association, West Seneca Youth Hockey Association, and USA Hockey.
